Ornament DIY: Day 21
Need:
Silver Sculpey Clay
Thin carving tool (or a handmade mold)
Monofilament
Optional Mold Instructions:
Use Sculpey clay to create a mold. Mold the clay into a rectangle. You will need an A in the top left corner, a cross in the top right corner, a dove in the bottom left corner, and an Omega in the bottom right corner. Use a thin carving tool to make carvings of these shapes into the clay. You can also purchase wooden shapes and press them into the clay, like a stamp. Once you have made the indentations, bake the clay as instructed on the Sculpey packaging. Ta da! You have a mold!
Instructions:
-
Press the silver Sculpey clay into the mold.
-
If you do not have a mold, use the thin carving tool to make indentations of the shapes. (You will need an A in the top left corner, a cross in the top right corner, a dove in the bottom left corner, and an Omega in the bottom right corner.)
-
Use the thin carving tool (or anything pointy) to poke a hole in the top center of the clay.
-
Bake the clay according to the instructions of the Sculpey packaging.
-
Let cool.
-
String the monofilament through the hole and tie the ends.
