Pay close attention to the intricate game of wits between Jesus and Satan. It quickly becomes clear that Satan is no match for Jesus, but we gain insight into the schemes of the enemy. We also have the privilege of watching our Lord Jesus win 3 rounds against his foe. We can take notes on how he does it, and employ those same strategies when we face temptation.

When you are “in the wilderness” emotionally or spiritually, did you ever think that God may have led you there intentionally? Today’s passage tells us that the Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness. The next time you are in a “wilderness” (you may be there now), remember that God has you there for a reason. This may change your attitude and approach.
